Issue 66 "The most important thing you can do to achieve
your goals is to make sure that as soon as you set them, you immediately
begin to create momentum." It is absolutely obvious when the momentum changes in a game. Regardless of the sport, you can feel it when Tiger Woods starts that drive up the last nine holes, or when the energy sparks the leading team in a football game, or when everything starts to flow for a basketball team as they begin a scoring stretch. Often that momentum shift starts with a small surge of energy. It can be a putt that looks a little short but just catches the rim, hesitates and then drops in, or it can be a pitch that just catches the corner of the plate for the third strike. Wow! The energy is tangible. We can harness the power of momentum in our daily lives. Often the shift
from a static or negative situation to forward momentum starts with the
smallest accomplishment or success. By taking action and creating success
energy, we can be the catalyst for a momentum change in our lives or organization.
The key is to embrace that small success fully! Celebrate it! Enjoy it!
Use the energy from a small success to build into momentum. Life Upgrade Tip Once you are taking those intentional steps, a great exercise is to write down 5 successful action steps you have taken at the end of each day. Looking at those successes and then deciding how you can build on them for the next day can create the momentum you need to move forward successfully. What is it you can do today that will create the momentum for a
successful tomorrow? ~o^o~ Resources http://www.greatday.com/ Ralph
