Issue 69 Quote How long have you delayed building a dream? Rodger Tate caught a glimpse of a classic boat on Lake Geneva and fell immediately in love. This was not just any classic but the Chris-Craft Custom Runabout, circa 1940, which sells for $175,000 restored. Rodger said, I was thinking out of my league. The only solution was to build his own Runabout. His expertise in woodworking had been limited to building shelves or a picnic table so this would be a major undertaking. But he took the first step and ordered the plans from the internet. In the past year, he has built the frame and the hull and now is ready to start on the mechanical part. As an auto mechanic before he entered the business world, the second stage hopefully will not be as much of a challenge. Rodgers wife Marnie is a client of mine and a champion of dreams.
Years ago she made a list of the hundred things she wanted to do during
her lifetime. She has pursued that list with a passion and has sky dived
and ridden in a F-16 Fighter Jet as well as spoken in front of hundreds
of people. So naturally she supports Rodger in his passion! She said recently
in an interview in the Fort Walton Beach Daily News that she had never
seen her husband lose sight of his goal. Thats what Rodger
is doing now. He is living a dream. Most people arent so lucky. Life Upgrade Questions ~o^o~ Resources I will be speaking at the New York City ICF conference on September 17,
