Issue 75 Quote strat-e-gy- a plan of action in business (Oxford American Dictionary) A client sent me a copy of his Goals for 2006 after a planning meeting in his company. I looked at the document for the first time and asked him, "Where is your strategy?" He laughed and said the internal coach in his company had looked over his plan and asked the very same question. Two coaches are a charm. :) A great plan has strategies in place so that there is a clear pathway to implementation and action steps. Strategy provides the comfort and hope of knowing how your objectives and goals will be reached. The comfort means that each day you can get up with the assurance that by following your strategy you can be effectively moving toward the outcome you want. That doesn't mean strategies can't change. One of my clients decided joining a prominent community organization would be a great strategy for growing her business to the level she wanted. He immersed herself in that organization and was soon given a highly visible leadership role. Despite her involvement, she was not finding the opportunity to build her business or help others build theirs. She changed her strategy by forming a mastermind networking group with other successful business owners that has allowed her to grow her business and in addition have a group where she can share and get feed back on her entrepreneurial ideas. Her new networking strategy is paying off for her business and for herself. Life Upgrade Coaching Questions ~o^o~ Resources "Don't Plan too Much. Decide." By Paul. B.
